Week 3

Green Class as always have been amazing this week. We have learnt to count in 3's and 10's. We have also been learning to subtract from 20 by knowing our number facts. We have moved on to learning our number facts to 100. We have been using our number facts to 10 to work this out.

In English we have been looking at writing our own stories based on Avocado baby. When you are next in you should take a look they are fantastic!  We have been working on full stops, capitals and the ed suffix!

We have all done some gymnastics this week and were amazing!  We have been focusing on balance and different ways to travel. We enjoyed the gym equipment out.

We had a great day on Friday we went to Wroxham broads. On the boat we followed the map and we were looking out for different types of wildlife that lived on our broads. We went on a nature walk and only a few of us feel in the mud! We had good fun and found out lots about the broads. Did you know they were man made? People dug them looking for peat.

 

Week 2 Green Class

Green class have had a fantastic week.

We have also had fun this week learning about Piet Mondrian and our paintings have turned out
fantastically. We found out that he only used primary colours. Some of our work is on display in the
library.

We have been learning about 2 digit numbers. We have been looking at tens and ones.
We have also been practising writing these numbers.
We looked at the y making the ee sound at the end of all the tens numbers for example
twenty, thirty, forty.

Some of Green class and Orange class come to gymnastics club after school on Wednesday.
They all make great gymnasts.

Thank you to all the mums, dads, grandmas and grandads coming to our ‘I wish morning’
we loved having you visit our class.

Our first week

Green class are amazing. They have settled in really well and have shown how grown up they have become by fulfilling all the extra responsibilities well. We are now collective worship monitors and will lead collective worship with a partner this year. Some of us are tour guides or members of the school council.

Maths:

We started at looking at number pairs to 10. We played dominoes make 10. We have been working really hard on reading 2 digit numbers and ordering numbers up to 100.

Topic:We went on a journey around school making a journey stick. This helped us to create a map of our school. We then made a key using the colours from our journey stick. Our maps were fantastic. Some of us made a map in golden time on Friday using Lego!

Literacy:

We have been reading avocado baby. We even tried some. Our faces were a picture not many of us liked it at all. We have made actions for the story and will soon be writing our own stories based on avocado baby.

Active superstars!

I has been lovely to see Billy and Tommy on active superstar boards. If you have achieved something outside of school in sport that you are proud of please feel free to bring a picture in.

Golden time:

We loved having golden time this week we are now have free flow across the whole school so some of us played in Red class some played in orange class and some played in Green class. It was lovely to play with some of the younger children.
